With activities being cancelled, and many schools turning to remote learning, students may have less access to performance opportunities. Now more than ever, they need to be safely engaged. Continuing to build life skills that are learned through performance collaboration remains critical. CODA Concerts and their virtual festivals can be of important assistance during these challenging times.
Keeping Students Engaged Safely: Our number one priority is ensuring student and teacher safety. To keep students and faculty safe, our 2021 season will be offered virtually with exciting features to make the experience one-of-a-kind. All discussions with our nationally recognized guest conductors, composers-in-residence, and faculty will be held via Zoom. For ensemble performance, all individual voice parts will be recorded and uploaded on the computer to limit contact with others. The end product supports musical growth alongside memories and experiences that come from being a part of something bigger than yourself.
Building Life Skills: One of the benefits of participating in choir festivals is the life skills students are able to learn and use. This is true of both live and virtual events. Some of these life skills include teamwork, perseverance, and communication skills. Now and in the future, these skills result in increased productivity in future schooling and in the workplace.
Performance Opportunities: Virtual choir festivals give you and your choir the opportunity to perform at a high level with the assistance of our exceptional and world-renowned composers-in-residence and guest conductors. Working with our esteemed faculty can provide a new perspective and new ways of teaching. In return, this creates new opportunities for each student to not only grow as a musician, but as an individual. If you are interested in the upcoming virtual choir season, but still have questions, give us a call or use the live chat feature on our homepage!
